Obituary

MRS. W. I. ADAMS DEATH FOLLOWS LONG ILLNESS Hotel Proprietor’s Wife Passes Away After Suffering for Years With Bright’s Disease Mrs. W. I. Adams, wife of the proprietor of the Merchants hotel, died at 6:10 o’clock yesterday morning after suffering for years with Bright’s disease. She was forty-six years old.
The death of the mother is a distinct blow to her husband and family who still grieve for their baby, seven-year-old Loris Adams who met death less than six months ago under the wheels of an automobile. The sympathy of the city goes out to the stricken survivors in their bereavement.

Funeral arrangements had not yet been made late yesterday afternoon but services will be held from he Methodist church, probably Sunday afternoon. At the time of her daughter’s death last May Mrs. Adams was confined to bed critically ill but when told of the tragedy bravely bore up against her deep grief. By sheer will power she fought her way far enough back to health to enable her to be about the hotel in the late summer months.

Three weeks ago her strength again gave way and her health began a rapid decline. For more than a week her health had been momentarily expected and when she lapsed into unconsciousness nearly forty-eight hours prior to it the last faint hopes for her recovery fled. She did not regain consciousness.
