Obituary
Funeral Rites Wednesday for Mrs. Alfsen
Funeral services for Mrs. Ed (Jennie) Alfsen of the Wahpeton Rehablitation Center will be held in the Vetin-Schmitt and Poulton Funeral Home, North Chapel, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. P. A. Ginsvold will officiate at the services for Mrs. Alfsen who died Saturday. Interment will be in the CZJB Cemetery in Wahpeton. Friends may call at Vertin-Schmitt and Poulton South Chapel Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Jennie Doleshy Alfsen was schools and later lived in Lidgerwood with her parents before attending a Minneapolis business school. She worked in a Minnewauken, N. D., bank before her marriage. Following their marriage, the couple lived at Edmunds, N. D., and later in Minneapolis. Mr. Alfsen died several years ago. She continued to make her home in Minneapolis until January of this year when she moved to the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Fred, in 1954, a daughter, Ethel Dow, in 1958, and a brother and sister. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Anna Bestor of San Francisco, Mrs. Rose Clark of Detroit Lakes, Mrs. Louise Ruber of Venitia, Calif., and Mrs. Jacob Mashek of Wahpeton. She is survived by a grandson.
The entire Dolejsi family was disinterred from the CZJB (Bohemian) Cemetery and re-interred in the Fairview Cemetery in 1962.
