Andrine Anderson
Services for Mrs. Oscar (Andrine) Anderson, 86, Wahpeton, will be at 2 Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton. She died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital.
Visitation is Monday afternoon and evening and Tuesday until 11 a.m. at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel. There will also be visitation at the church for the hour prior to services.
Andrine Christenson was born Jan. 24, 1892 at Hallingdal, Norway to Mr. and Mrs. Hans Christenson. She was raised and educated in Norway coming to the United States and marrying Oscar Anderson in 1911 at Wahpeton.
The couple lived in Wahpeton since. He worked with Leach and Gamble. He died Aug. 12, 1964. She continued to live in Wahpeton. For the past several years she has resided at the Wahpeton Retirement Center.
She was a charter member of Bethel Lutheran Church, and a member of ALCW. She was also a gold star mother in the American Legion Auxiliary. This honor is given to those mothers who lose a son as a result of military action.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, and seven brothers and sisters.
Casketbearers are Edward Were, Arthur Parker, Herbert Anderson, James Horton, Floyd Swenson, John Peterka.
