Obituary
Richard Anderson Rites Wednesday
Richard Charles Anderson, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Anderson of Detroit Lakes died late Saturday night from injuries received in an automobile accident earlier in the day.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Wednesday in the First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes with the Rev. Kermit Graves officiating. A committal service will be held at 4:30 on the Fairview Memorial Garden at Wahpeton.
Richard was born March 22, 1952 at Alexandria, Minn., and was a junior in Detroit Lakes High School. His father is superintendent of schools at Detroit Lakes. Mrs. Anderson is the former Marlys Braaten of Barney.
He is survived by his parents; one brother, Edward; two sisters, Holly and Heather, all at home; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Clarence L. Olson, of Minneapolis, and an uncle, Alan Braaten of Barney.
Richard was the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Braaten of Barney.
