Obituary
Gunnar Brandt
Funeral services for Gunnar Brandt, 79, of Breckenridge, will be at 1 Saturday at Joseph Vertin & Sons Chapel in Breckenridge. Rev. Eugene Floistad will officiate. Mr. Brandt died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital.
Visitation begins at 2 Friday and continues through the evening and until the time of service Friday at the chapel.
Born Oct. 16, 1898 in Norway to Martinus and Maren (Bakke) Brandt, he came to the United States as a young man. He settled at New Rockford, N.D., where he lived with relatives. He married Stella Jones April 28, 1941 at Breckenridge. He continued to live in Breckenridge where he was employed as an auto mechanic and worked for the Great Northern Railroad.
His wife preceded him in 1965. He is also preceded by his parents and a son.
