Oscar Brandt
Oscar Brandt, 80, Breckenridge, died Sunday, Sept. 27 at St. Francis Home, Breckenridge. The funeral will be at 1:30 Tuesday at St. Francis Home Chapel, with Rev. Marvin Hartmann officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be this afternoon and evening at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home Chapel and at St. Francis Home for the hour before services.
He was born March 31, 1901 in Norway to Martnus and Maren (Bakke) Brandt. He came to the country when he was 25 and lived with an uncle and aunt at New Rockford, N.D. He was employed by the Great Northern Railroad on the section. IN 1948 he moved to Wahpeton. He has resided at St. Francis Home, Breckenridge, since 1972.
There are no immediate survivors.
