Obituary
Funeral services will be conducted here Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Clark B. (Anna) Bachman, of Wahpeton, who died Monday morning at St. Francis hospital where she had been a patient since August 11. She would have been 88 years old Thursday.
Rites will be held at 2 p.m. in Schmitt-Poulton Funeral Home with the Rev. B. B. Curtis officiating and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at Schmitt-Poulton Funeral Home Monday afternoon and evening.
Anna Belle, daughter of Johnathon and Minnie Cole, was born Sept. 123, 1869, at McLain, Ill., where her father was a school teacher. She grew to womanhood in Illinois and married Mr. Backman at Minier, Ill., in 1890.
They came to North Dakota to Lakota that year and in 1902 homesteaded near Granco. They moved to Fargo in 1910 and in 1925 came to Wahpeton.
Mrs. Bachman was an active member of Foss Methodist church here.
Surviving are two Sons, Harold who is head of band department at the University of Florida at Gainesville, and Myron Arlington, Va.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, a son, Claence preceded her in death.
