Obituary
Funeral For Mrs. Alice Baker To Be Held Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Baker will be held Friday afternoon at two from the Congregational church with Rev. Hartman officiating and burial will be in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Baker passed away Tuesday morning at St. Mary hospital.
Alice B. Coppin was born Nov. 23, 1869, in Mitchell, Ontario, Canada, and came when she was 12 years old to Hankinson with her parents the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Coppin. She was married on November 15, 1892, to Jesse G. Baker and they came to Dwight Township to make their home. Mr. Baker passed away April 10, 1918, and Mrs. Baker came to Wahpeton in 1922 to make her home. She has lived here since.
Two children were born to this union, Jesse F. Baker, who died Oct. 21, 1942, and Miss Virginia Baker, of Wahpeton. Also surviving are three brothers, John, George and Phillip Coppin, all of Hankinson and six grandchildren.
