Betsey H. Barnes-1894
Mrs. Betsey H. Barnes died Monday night at the residence of her son, Rev. George B. Barnes, near Campbell, Minn., of dropsy. The deceased was aged 76 years, 5 months and 7 days. Mrs. Barnes was married in 1835 to Rev. H. H. Barnes, a minister of the M. E. church. Her husband died about fourteen years ago, and since that time she has resided with her son. Six children, five sons and one daughter, survive the mother. Since early life Mrs. Barnes faith in Christ as her savior has been strong, clear and abiding, and the daily influence going out from that life has been a power for good. Her sufferings for some months past have been severe, but all has been borne with wonderful patience and fortitude. The remains were buried yesterday in the cemetery south of this city, the funeral services having been conducted at Campbell.
