Obituary
Funeral Held in Breckenridge For Mrs. Barringer
Mrs. Emma Barringer, 77, a former resident of Meadows township, Wilkin county, died Wednesday morning in the Dell Rapids, S. D. hospital after a short illness. She was taken ill about six weeks ago with a heart ailment and complications.
Emma Elger was born in Ely, England Jan 17, 1871. She was married there to Harding Barringer on Jan. 1, 1836 and shortly after came to America. They settle on a farm near Dell Rapids, and lived there 13 years. They came to Minnesota in 1912, and made their home in Meadows township, Wilkin county and then moved to Poposky, Minn. Following her husband’s death in 1944, she made her home with a sister-in-law Mrs. Lizzie Graves, in Dell Rapids.
Surviving are one son, Percy Barringer of Everdell, two grandchildren, and one sister, Miss Ada Elber in England.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Jos. Vertin & Son Funeral Chapel in Breckenridge.
