Obituary
Clara Beach
Mrs. Clara Beach, 77, Breckenridge, died Tuesday, May 5, at St. Francis Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 Friday at Breckenridge Lutheran Church with Rev. Julian Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. Thursday continuing through the evening with a prayer service at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge. There will also be visitation at the church for the hour prior to services.
She was born May 10, 1903 to Christ and Mary (Evjen) Mikkelson, at Ortonville, Minn. She moved with her family to Wahpeton and later to Breckenridge where she continued her education. She married Francis Beach April 20, 1922 at Breckenridge. He was employed by the Great Northern Railroad. The couple lived in Wahpeton and New Rockford, N.D., later moving to Breckenridge. He died in 1962.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ansel (Phyllis) Bridgeford, East Grand Forks, Minn.; three grandsons, a great-grandson; three brothers, Orten, Osakis, Minn.; Clarence, Battle Lake; and Richard, Breckenridge.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
