Obituary
H. Brosowske
COLFAX - Herman Brosowske, 71, of Colfax died Tuesday in St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo where he had been a patient for the past six weeks. The funeral will be at 2 Friday in Peace Lutheran Church in Barney with the Rev. Lambert Dierks officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Arthur E. Johnson and Archie Isackson will be the vocalist. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens at Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening at Vertin's-Wahpeton East Chapel with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
Honorary casket bearers will be August Minderman, Art Lischefski, Herbert Hoeft, Carl Denow, Harold Bolstad and George Pelvet.
Active casket bearers will be Howard Brosowske, Arlen Brosowske, Charles Brosowske Jr., Donald Ewald, Donald Durensky and Clarence Falk.
Mr. Brosowske was born April 11, 1901, at Kiester, Minn., the son of Herman J. and Lydia (Luebke) Brosowske and came to Colfax with his family to farm in 1904. He was baptized and confirmed in Peace Lutheran Church. He attended school in Nansen township. He married Helen Bakken Feb. 20, 1924, at Dwight. The couple farmed in that area. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and had served on the Finance Committee.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters and a son, Mrs. Harley (Loraine) Trinka of Lidgerwood, Mrs. Eugene (Marlys) Hoeft of Wahpeton, Duane of Blaine, Minn., Mrs. John (Geraldine) Ciesynski of Geneseo; Five brothers and a sister, Arthur of Barney Charles of Wyndmere, George of Wahpeton, Harry Ewald of Walcott, Mrs. Clyde (Esther) Adams and Reuben, both of Tualatin, Ore.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two granbchildren; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Clara Arnold, Mrs. Lillian Hummer and Paul Brosowske.
