Obituary
Alfred L. Beling
Services for Alfred L. Beling, 72, of Wahpeton will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Ernest Bartels officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Beling died Thursday morning at his home.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. There will also be visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
Casket bearers will be Glenn and James Wenshlag, Lyle Beling, John Heley, John Strand, and Alvin Ambach.
Alfred L. Beling was born April 16, 1905 at Great Bend to William and Bertha (Bohn) Beling.
He grew up there and attended local schools. He joined the Army during World War II and following discharge worked for Boeing Aircraft, Co. at Bremerton, Wash.
He married Beatrice Wolff Oct. 3, 1950 at Sisseton, S.D. He worked for several construction companies in Wahpeton.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Gregory of Wahpeton; one granddaughter; two brothers, Robert of Moorhead and Herbert of Miles City, Mont.; and a sister, Sadie Wenshlag of Clair City, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and an infant daughter.
