Obituary
Mrs. August Berg Dies Saturday At Wahpeton Hospital Beloved Local Woman Succumbs After Eight Months Suffering and Illness Mrs. August Berg, beloved Wahpeton woman, passed away at the Wahpeton hospital shortly after noon Saturday. Death followed more than eight months; illness. Her husband and her sister were at her side when the lord came.
Valeria Wright (Mrs. August Berg) was born at Rochester, Minn., March 16, 1898. Twenty-nine years of her life she spent in Wahpeton, making her home with her sister, Mrs. Walson. She was married July 14, 1921, to August Berg. The couple have since resided here.
Mrs. Berg was a member of the Rebekah lodge and the Legion Auxiliary. She was prominent in social circles of the city. Funeral services were held this (Monday) afternoon at 2:30 from the Episcopal church. Reverend Jones, of Fergus Falls, officiated.
Pallbearers were old friends of the family Guy Bugbee, J. H. Dietz, Kirk Bale, C. J. Hoffman, R. V. McMichael and R. L. Hawes. Burial takes place in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Berg was a patient sufferer during her long illness. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the sorrowing family in their bereavement
