Obituary
Henry Boelke Funeral Tuesday in Wahpeton
Henry W. Boelke, 75, longtime resident of Richland county, died Friday at an Ely, Minn. hospital. He had made his home since 1955 with a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Betty) Engelhart of Babbitt.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Schmitt-Poulton Funeral home in Wahpeton with Rev. Henry Fry officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery here.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening and until the service on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Robert and Garnet Marks, Bernard and Harley Hinrichs, Wallace Raftevold and Earl Kruase. He was born at Spencer, Wis., Jan. 31, 1885, but when a small boy moved with his parents to Lidgerwood and later to Great Bend where he attended schools. He married Minnie Marks Dec. 13, 1922 at Wahpeton.
The family lived in Great Bend where he operated a dray line until moving to Wahpeton where he resided until 1955.
Mr. Boelke was a member of the Lutheran Laymen’s League.
Surviving beside his daughter is a grandchild. His wife, a son, two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
