Funeral Services This Thursday For Mrs. Boetcher
Died Monday At Daughter’s Home In Breckenridge
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Herman Boetcher, long time resident of Wahpeton, who died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leo Baumer, in Breckenridge.
The services were set for 1:30 at the Vertin Funeral Home of Wahpeton and 2 o’clock from the Immanuel Lutheran church here. Interment was made in Fairview cemetery. Vertin Funeral home of Wahpeton was in charge of arrangement.
Mrs. Boetcher was born on May 10, 1865, In Posen, Germany. She came to the United States when a young girl to Leonard, N.D. Later she was married to Gustav Radtke at Wahpeton. Mr. Radtke died in 1896. To this union five children were born.
In February of 1901 she was married to Herman Boetcher here in Wahpeton. She was one of the charter members of the Immanuel Lutheran church here. Mr. Boetcher passed away on August 20, 1945.
She is survived by eight children: two sisters; 27 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Children are: John Radtke, Mrs. Adolph (Ida) Schroeder, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Jacobchick, Edwin Boetcher, all of Sheboygan, Wis., Mrs. Herb (Elizabeth) Worner of Wahpeton; Chas. Radtke of Madeline, Minn.; Peter Boetcher of Milwaukee, Wis.; and Mrs. Leo (Jean) Baumer of Breckenridge. Sisters are: Mrs. Philip Raitor, Wahpeton, and Mrs. Annie Novak of Moorheard, Minn.
Pallbearers were Cliff Worner, Frank Worner, Herb Worner, Jr., Kermir Lee and Jack Vaugh.
