G. Brosowske
WAHPETON, ND. - George A. Brosowske, 78, of Wahpeton died unexpectedly Monday at his home. The funeral will be at 2 Thursday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton with the Rev. Edward J. Rutter officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 8 at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home and Thursday at the church prior to services.
Mr. Brosowske was born Jan. 29, 1895, at Kiester, Minn., the son of Herman and Lizzie (Phahning) Brosowske. The family moved to Barney when he was nine years old. He attended local schools and was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith in Peace Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in Antelope Township near Barney and they later moved to Danton Township near Wyndmere. They moved to Wahpeton in 1948 where they have since resided. While in Wahpeton, he had farming interests and was employed by Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home for 15 years. At Barney, he was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and served in various church offices. In Wahpeton, he was a member of Immanuel Lutheran and served on several committees.
He is survived by his wife; two sons and one daughter, Harold of Waukegan, Ill., Howard of Fergus Falls, Mrs. James (Iona) Bladow of Hankinson; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sisters, Charles Brosowske Sr. of Wyndmere, Rueben Brosowske and Mrs. Clyd (Esther) Adams, both of Taulatin, Ore.; and a stepbrother, Harry Ewald of Walcott, N.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters, Paul, Herman, Arthur, Mrs. John (Lillian) Hummer, Mrs. Arnold (Clara) Charles and an infant sister, Hazel.
