Amanda Brosowski
Services for Mrs. George (Amanda) Brosowski, 78, of Wahpeton will be Monday, 10 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with the Rev. Edward J. Rutter officiating.
Mrs. Brosowski died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital. She will be buried at Fairview Memorial Cemetery, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening at Vertin's Wahpeton Chapel and one hour before the service at the church. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home Sunday at 8 p.m.
Mrs. Brosowski was born Oct. 22, 1897, to Robert and Lena (Kressin) Pompe, at Lotts Creek, Iowa.
She was baptized in the Lutheran Church at Lotts Creek. She moved with her family to Barney, N.D., in 1908 and attended school there. She was confirmed at the Peace Lutheran Church, Barney.
She married George A. Brosowski on May 2 1917, at Barney.
The couple farmed at Barney and Wyndmere, then moved to Wahpeton in 1948.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two sons, Harold of Waukeegan, Ill., and Howard of Fergus Falls; a daughter, Mrs. James (Iona) Bladow, Hankinson; one brother, William Pompe of Wendell, Minn., one sister, Mrs. Lydia McVey of Riverside, Calif., 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973.
