Fred Buck, 48, Of Fairmount Funeral Friday
Funeral services was on Friday at 2 p.m. at Fairmount Lutheran church in Fairmount for Fred C Buck Sr. 48, who died suddenly at his farm home near Fairmount, Monday evening. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Rev. Elton Temme, will officiate and interment will be made in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Wahpeton. Schmitt-Poulton Funeral Home of Wahpeton has charge.
The visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening in Schmitt-Poulton Funeral chapel.
Pallbearers will be Holger Bertelson, Charles Mead, Elmer Wettstein, Magnus Flatten, Reuben Johnson and Herman Laske. Honorary Bearers will be Ed Steffens, Dan Ennen, Wesley Newby, Thad Branson, Magnus Anderson, Thomas Bertelson, Harry Ehlers, Ralph Bonine and Roger Ripley.
He was born June 3, 1911 in LaMars township where he attended schools. He was confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran church at Hankinson.
He and Leone Templeton were united in marriage in Fairmount, June 12, 1931. Following their marriage, he was employed at a Farmers Union Cooperative in Fairmount until 1939 when he started farming in Fairmount township.
Surviving are his wife, a son, Fred Buck, Jr., of Southwest Fargo; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Lorraine) Bladow of Wahpeton; a brother, Clemens, of Fairmount; two sisters, Mrs. J G. Muehler of Fairmount and Mrs. Wesley Gowin of Sisseton and four grandchildren.
