Obituary
Mrs. Ben Brueske, Former Resident, Dies in Oregon
Mrs. Ben A. (Florence) Brueske, 51 former Wahpeton resident, died Friday at Portland, Ore. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Vertin’s-Wahpeton Chapel.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Brueske was born at Hankinson Jan. 11, 1910. She resided there until moving to Breckenridge at age 8 where she lived until 1928 when she moved to Wahpeton.
She was married at Fergus Falls in 1933 and lived in Wahpeton following her marriage. The couple moved to Portland in 1938.
While in this area, she was employed at Wahpeton Floral and at Mehl’s Floral in Breckenridge. She continued in the floral business in Portland.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. C. A. (Margaret) Scott, Portland and a granddaughter. Also surviving are two brothers, Gordon Paape of Wahpeton and Herbert Paape of Buffalo, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
