Obituary
Rites Wednesday For Mrs. Brunner
Funeral services for Mrs. Ernest Brunner, who died Sunday evening at her home in this city, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., from Vertin Chapel with Dr. S. G. Schick officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery beside her husband who died two years ago.
Emilie Panzer was born March 15, 1876, in Badweiler, Germany. She was married in 1898 in Kandern, Germany, to the late Ernest Brunner. In 1904, she came to Wahpeton with her two children to join Mr. Brunner, who had come here two years earlier. Mr. Brunner, who was a cabinetmaker by trade worked with the late Jacob Schweizer and later was an instructor at the Science School then taking a position at the Wahpeton Indian School. He died July 23, 1949.
Mrs. Brunner was taken serious ill August 4 and has been card for at her home.
She is survived by the following children: Hans of Weis, Germany, Carl of Bismarck; Emily, Mrs. Wm. Nienaker, of Fosston, Minn., Hedwig, Mrs. Ed Achter and Emma, Mrs. Otto Glander of this city. There are five grandchildren and one great grandchild. A brother Ernest Panzer lives at Oberweiler, Germany.
