Funeral for Mrs. Albert Bahr Scheduled for Tuesday Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert (Lydia) Bahr, 78, a resident of Richland County for 30 years, will be 10:30 Tuesday from the First Evangelical United Brethren Church, Rev. Charles Ritter officiating.

Mrs. Bahr died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge.

Lydia Strayer was born April 7, 1887 at Mahaska, Kan. She was married there Feb. 14, 1909. The couple lived at Flasher, N.D., where they homesteaded. In 1936, they came to the Mooreton, N.D., area in Antelope Township where Mr. Bahr farmed. The couple retired in 1956.

She was a charter member of the Flasher Congregational Church, a member of the Mooreton American Legion Auxiliary, the Antelope Methodist Church while living on the farm near Mooreton, WSCS, Homemakers Club, and the First Evangelical United Brethren Church in Wahpeton.

Surviving are her husband; eight sons and four daughters; Mrs. Hilford (Lura) Johnson, Wahpeton; Mrs. Leroy (Ellen) Dinger and Dean, both Wyndmere N.D.; Leslie, Mooreton; Ms. Frank (Neva) VanDuin, Arthur N.D.; Mrs. Ardy (Velma) Woodbury, Barney, N.D; George Underwood, Minn.; Rev. Hubert Bahr, Huron, S.D.; Rev. Clifford Bahr, Shickley, Neb.; Floyd, Okanogan, Wash.; Sgt. Donald Bahr, Eatontown, Tex..

Two brothers; three sisters; 50 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Garden of Christus, Fairview Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Woodbury, Chester Marquette, Robert Stone, Blake Tisdel, Colin McDougall, and George Williams.

Vocalists will be Rev. and Mrs. Charles Ritter.

A prayer services will be at 8 p.m. tonight (Monday) from Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
