Obituary
Funeral for John Baker on Saturday
Funeral services for John Baker, 49, of Breckenridge will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Grace Lutheran Church, Breckenridge. Mr. Baker died Wednesday in a Minneapolis hospital. Rev. Henry Fry will officiate at the services and interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Wahpeton.
Mr. Baker, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Baker of Hankinson, was born at Hankinson, Aug. 4, 1911. He grew up and attended grade and high schools there. He was married to Florence Boetcher Aug. 31, 1940.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Rodney, Dale, and Barry. He also leaves four sisters, Mrs. John (Margaret) Bommersbach, of Gardenia, Calif.; Mrs. William (Lorraine) Timmerman of Los Angeles; Mrs. Richard (LaVerne) Waller of Tucson, Ariz.; and Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) McCready of Minneapolis; and three brothers, Peter of Belmont, Calif.; Leonard of Denver, Colorado and Joe of Hankinson.
Visitation may be made to the Jos. Vertin and Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge on Friday afternoon and evening.
