Charlotte was well known for her love of bakeries in the Midwest and knew where to get the best cream horns! She loved her annual trips to Wahpeton visiting her best girlfriends who she adored.

In the late 90's, Charlotte married Paul and moved back to the Seattle area where she grew up to spend her retirement with her siblings and extended family. She continued her love of the outdoors which included becoming commodore of her local sailing club, skiing, hiking and world travel with her Rotary club to provide immunizations for at risk communities. She was active in her church bible study, book club, dinner club, volunteered for the Seattle Repertory Theater and was a season ticket holder for University of Washington Husky football. Charlotte loved walking her dogs at Pike Place Market to indulge them in samples of the catch of the day. As a child Charlotte attended Immaculate Conception grade school and discovered her love of horses as a member of the Sunnyside Saddle Club. Having grown up in Everett, she cherished her lifelong friendships and getting together with her alma maters Everett High School class of 1955 and Washington State University class of 1959. After graduation, Charlotte was an international flight attendant for United Airlines and a first grade teacher at Edmonds Elementary in Edmonds, WA. She then met her husband, Dennis, and moved to California to complete his time as officer in the U.S. Navy before moving to Wahpeton in the mid 1960's.
