Ethel Barringer

Services for Mrs. Dighton (Ethel) Barringer, 67, of Breckenridge will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of God in Wahpeton with Rev. Philip Shearer officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Barringer died Tuesday night at St. Francis Hospital.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening in Vertin's Wahpeton East Chapel with a prayer service at 8 p.m.

Casket bearers are Clifford Dahm, John Strand, Glen Wolters, Fritz Slaby, Norman Tolbert and Wayne Pratt.

Ethel Harvey was born Aug. 4, 1910 at Rothsay, Minn., to Henry and Minnie (Anderson) Harvego. She attended schools in Wilkin County.

She married Dighton Barringer March 12, 1929 at Breckenridge. The couple farmed at Rothsay and Breckenridge until 1946 when they moved into Breckenridge. She was employed in several cafes in Breckenridge and Wahpeton.

She was a member of the Church of God and Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors are her husband; a son, Delbert, of Pelican Rapids; three daughters, Mrs. Charlie (Lucille) Herman of Bismarck, Mrs. Paul (Marie) Zach of Fairmount, and Mrs. Albin (Marian) Sorum of Breckenridge; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Dietz of Breckenridge and Mrs. Otto (Bessie) Blood of Elbow Lake, Minn.; and one brother, Orville of Renton, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
