Obituary
Mrs. A. Berseth Dies, Funeral Set Wednesday
Mrs. Albert (Margaret) Berseth, 54, Wahpeton, died early today (Monday) at St Francis Hospital, Breckenridge.
Requiem High Mass will be Wednesday at 9 am from St. John’s Catholic church, Wahpeton. Rev. Albin Sauer, celebrant. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
A rosary will be recited at Vertins Wahpeton chapel at 8 a.m. Tuesday evening. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening and Wednesday until 8:30 at Vertin’s-Wahpeton chapel.
Mrs. Albert (Margret Christine) Berseth was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. Dec 17, 1906. As a child she moved with her parents to Quincy, Mass. When she was 18 she moved to Florida where she lived for two years.
She married Albert Berseth Jan. 7, 1928. They farmed in the Christine area until 1950 when they moved to Fargo. Mrs. Berseth was with the school lunch program at the Ben Franklin school in Fargo.
In 1952-53 they moved to Fergus Falls where Mrs. Berseth was head of the school lunch program for all Fergus Falls Schools. She was director of foods at the State School of Science for six years, beginning in 1953, before she resigned due to ill health.
Surviving are her husband, one son, Roger, Wahpeton; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Taylor, Kindred and Mrs. William (Marsha) Sandry, Minneapolis and six grandchildren.
Two sisters, Mrs. Reuben Paper, Fargo and Mrs. Allie O’Donnell, Groton, Conn. also survive.
