Obituary

Martin D. Boock

Services for Martin D. Boock, 52, Wahpeton, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Mr. Boock died Monday at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo.

Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening and Wednesday until 11 a.m. at Vertin's-Wahpeton Chapel, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Organist will be Mrs. Vernon Hektner, with Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Jacobson as vocalists.

Boock was born April 15, 1923 at Wolverton, to Henry and Anna (Sorrow) Boock. He moved with his parents to Sabin, Minn., as a chid and attended schools there. He was married to Lorraine Johnson Dec. 15, 1942. He served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific area and upon his return worked for Caspers Furniture, Wahpeton, laying carpet and linoleum. He retired 10 years ago because of ill health. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Marla) Mikesh, Morris, Minn.; a son, Michael, Wahpeton; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Otto (Anna) Meyers, Breckenridge; Mrs. Art (Selna) Ernst, Barnesville, Minn.; Mrs. Clifford (Elsie) Johnson, Eveleth, Minn.; and Mrs. Reuben (Marian) Anderson, Morris, Minn.; four brothers, Emil of Payallup, Wash.; Edward of Sabin, and Ludwig and Erhart, both of Breckenridge. He is preceded by his parents, two brothers and one granddaughter.

Casket bearers will be David Meyer, Wallace Leiseth, Charles Johnson, Lee Richards, Gregg Anderson and Larry Anderson.

Burial wil be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
