Wilkin County Resident Dies at Farm Home
Mrs. Halvor Carlson Succumbs to Heart Attack Suddenly Saturday Morning
Mrs. Halvor Calson resident of Wilkin county the past three years living on a farm five miles south of Breckenridge, died at her home at 7:30 o’clock Saturday morning. Death is believed to have been caused by a heart attack.
Mrs. Carlson had been suffering from heart trouble for some time. Last fall she entered a hospital for treatment and was considerably improved for a time.
On Sunday, June 29th, she attended the services at the Bethel Lutheran church, where her youngest son Vernon was confirmed. She was up and attended to her household duties until Saturday when she became suddenly ill and passed away. The Carlson family are former residents of Richland County. They lived on the Ole Sletten and one of the Stern farms until three years ago when they moved to Wilkin county.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock from the Bethel Lutheran church with Rev. J.C. Wisnaes officiating. Interment will be made in the Fairview cemetery.
The deceased is survived by her husband and a family of several children. A complete obituary will follow in the next issue of The Farmer-Globe.
