Comstock Rites In Wahpeton Friday Afternoon
Funeral services will be held in Vertin Funeral Home here Friday at 2 p.m. for LeRoy Comstock, 70, of Fargo, former resident of Richland County. Mr. Comstock died Tuesday in a Fargo hospital where he had been a patient five weeks.
Rev Harold Jones will officiate and interment will be in the family lot in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at Vertin Funeral Home Thursday afternoon and evening and until the service Friday.
Pallbearers will be Roy Thiel, Walter, Walter Muir, Mart Voves, Russell and Lynn Comstock and Clarence Nygaard.
He was born at Wahpeton, June 15, 1888, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Comstock. He attended schools and grew to manhood in Wahpeton and was engaged in farming in Antelope township until retiring 15 years ago and moved to Fargo. He had never married.
In Fargo he was employed as a fireman at hospitals.
Surviving are a brother, C.M. Comstock of Wahpeton; two sisters, Mrs. George (Laura) Abendschein of White Fish, Mont., and Mrs. George (Gertrude) Plettl of Wahpeton. His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
