Obituary
Mrs. C. M. Comstock Funeral Set for Wednesday Morning
Mrs. C. M. (Mathilda) Comstock, 79, of Wahpeton, died this morning (Monday) at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center shortly before the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Joseph Chizek.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 Wednesday at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church, Rev. Paatrick O’Connell celebrant. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
A Bible Vigil will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel with visitation Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Mathilda Kosek was born March 10, 1888 at Abercrombie to parents, Frank and Elizabeth Kosek. She was married to C. M. Comstock, Sept. 26, 1910 at Wahpeton. They lived in Aberdeen, S.D., for about a year, then farmed at Mooreton in Antelope Township for six years before moving to a farm near Breckenridge where they resided eight years and later came to Wahpeton to live.
She was a member of St. Adalbert’s Church and Clover Rebekah Lodge Chapter No. 93.
of Mankato, Russell and Lynn, both Wahpeton; and Clark of Minneapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Emil (Marion) Osojnick, St. Paul; Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Waite, Moorhead; 17 grand children and seven great-grandchildren: four sisters, Mrs. Edward (Elizabeth) Brosh, Breckenridge; Mrs. William (Nora) Mittendorf, Foxhome, Minn.; Mrs. John (Agnes) Diederich, Wahpeton; and Mrs. Joseph (Christine) Braun, Breckenridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter.
