Obituary

Funeral Held Here Thursday For Ed Dagel

Funeral services for Charles (Ed) Dagel, who died Monday at St. Francis hospital following illness which had kept him confined much of the time the past two years, were held on Thursday afternoon from the Vertin Chapel with Dr. S. C. Schick officiating.

Graveside Masonic rites were held in Fairview Cemetery, where he was laid to rest. Pallbearers were George Richels, George Wolf, Walter Crawford, Harold Nunns, A. O. Torgeson and Don Taylor.

Ed Dagel was born April 2, 1884 in Sibley, Iowa, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Dagel. He attended schools in Iowa and married Hazel Kissel, Feb. 28, 1907 in Pimghar, Ia.

They made their home in Iowa until 1932 when they moved to Richland county, purchasing the farm in Dwight township which Mr. Dagel built into a fine, large farmstead.

He leaves his wife, two daughters, Mrs. A. D. Schneider, (Daisy) of Wahpeton and Mrs. J.M. Lynch, (Doris) of Washington, D. C. There are three grandchildren, six brothers and five sisters.
