Obituary
OLD SETTLER GOES
Wilhelm Daniels Bids Farewell to Earthly Scenes.
Wilhelm Daniels, who died at the residence of William Schramm in Summit Township on the 5th day of this month, at 11 o'clock p. m., was one of the early settlers of the county. For many years he was a subscriber to this newspaper. During the last few years he has been making his home with Mr. Schramm. He was taken sick with pneumonia about the 29th or 30th of April, and passed away after a week's illness. Deceased was born in Germany on the 12th of May, 1835. He was a member of the Lutheran church. He is survived by two sons, John and Henry, whose whereabouts were unknown at the time of their father's death, and one daughter, Antonia, who was in Minneapolis, but who did not come to the funeral. The funeral service was held in this city, Wednesday, May 7, undertaker Louisbury having it in charge, and the remains were interred in Fairview cemetery. The editor mourns the loss of an old acquaintance.
