Obituary

Rites Tuesday For Mrs. Divet In Wahpeton

Died Friday In Tennessee After After Long Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. W. L. Divet, native of Richland county and longtime resident of Wahpeton who died Friday in Kings-mountain hospital, Bristol, Tenn will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at First Congregational church. Rev. J. H. Rees will officiate. Mrs. Divet was visiting in the south with her daughter, Mrs. A. F Geisler, Jr., when she was stricken.

Ida Hanson was born near Wahpeton Sept 9, 1890, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. O Hanson. She spent her early life teaching school and was married August 17, 1910 to the late W. L. Divet, who preceded her in death six years ago. Surviving are three daughters, Harriet, who is Mrs. Ben Matzek, Fargo; Dorothy, who is Mrs. A. F. Geisler, Jr. of Bristol, Tenn., and Patricia, who is Mrs. A. F. Dailey, Jr. of Rochester, N.Y.

There are two sisters, Mrs. V. J. Josephson, Klamath Falls, Ore., and Mrs. Clara Josephson, Deer Lodge, Mont. Two brothers, Fred Hanson and Will Hanson and four grandchildren, Monica and Carolyn Matzek and Dian Dailey and Douglas Geisler.

Pallbearers will be Vernon Johnson, Vernon Forbes Harry Murray, Arnold Olson, A. J. Hausauer and Howard Paul. The body will lie in state at the Schmidt & Olson chapel this Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.
