Obituary

B. F. Dreier Dies Sunday After Lingering Illness

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm from Vertin’s Funeral Home, Wahpeton, for Bernard Fredrick Drier who died at the St Francis hospital Sunday. Rev. James Patton will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot at the Riverside cemetery in Wahpeton.

Surviving are his wife, Hilda, one son, Dennis, of Wahpeton, and one daughter, Mrs. Barney Olson, and two grandchildren, Richard and David of Mooreton, N. D., three sisters, Mrs. Frieda Lambrecht, Mrs. Emma Van Haren, Mrs. Ben Weisnicht, one brother, John Drier, all of Wisconsin.

Born March 27, 1889 at Cecil, Wis., coming to North Dakota in 1910 where he became engaged in farming at Great Bend until 1915 at that time he was united in marriage to Hilda C. Pope of Great Bend. Moving to Wahpeton then he entered the drawing business. Later in 1932 he went into the dairy business until 1944 then entering Railroad Service for the Northern Pacific up to the time of his death.

Mr. Drier had been hospitalized since October 23, 1947 mostly at the N P B A hospital at St. Paul. Becoming critical ill a week ago asked to be brought back to his home at Wahpeton. His wife, Hilda, brought him back by ambulance to the St. Francis hospital where he was cared for up to the time of his death. His whole family was present at his bed side. Mr. Drier suffered from a prolonged illness patiently to the end.

** Fredrich was removed from Riverside cemetery and reinterred in Fairview Cemetery in 1958
