Miss A. Dunham Succumbs Sunday evening In Hospital

Funeral Services to Be Held Tuesday Afternoon for Eighteen Year Old Girl

Miss Agnes Constance Dunham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Dunham passed away at the St. Francis hospital in Breckenridge Sunday evening at 6:30 following an illness that had lasted for about three weeks. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon from the Bethel Lutheran church at two o’clock. Rev. J. C. Wisnaes will officiate. Interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery.

Agnes Constance Dunham was born on a farm near Williston on September 4, eighteen years ago. She lived in that community several years and later her people moved to Pelican Rapids, Minn., where the family resided until three years ago when they moved on a farm near Foxhome.

She received her common school education in the Pelican Rapids schools and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Village church there.

During the past few months, Miss Dunham has been employed on the Erwin Hedner farm near Wahpeton. Three weeks ago, she became ill and later her case was diagnosed as measles. She was cared for in the home of her aunt, Mrs. Anna Rossum until a week ago when she was taken to the hospital. Complications followed.

For many days Agnes was lingering between life and death. At times hopes were held for her recovery and then suddenly her condition would become worse. She spent a quiet and restful Sunday afternoon and her condition was believed to be much better. Without warning, she passed away very suddenly. Death was believed due to a heart attack.

Since coming in Wahpeton, Agnes Dunham has made a large circle of friends who join relatives in their bereavement. She was of a quiet and lovable nature and made friends easily. She was a member of the Junior Dorcas at the Bethel church and the girls of that organization will act as honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers will be Clifford, Bernie, and Jerry Rossum, Donald, Kenneth and Otis Anderson.

Besides her parents, two sisters Pearl 15, Viola 13 and two brothers, Justin 7, and Wallace 10, all at home, survive.
