Obituary

Mrs. M. Dorr of Wahpeton Dies Saturday

Mrs. Martin (Clara) Dorr, 80, 521 S. 1st St., Wahpeton, died in a local hospital Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethel Lutheran church in Wahpeton with the Rev. E. M. Sletten of Kindred officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Vertin, Schmitt-Poulton Funeral Home, south chapel, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Dorr is survived by her husband, Martin, and two nephews, Gunnar Brandt, of Breckenridge and Oscar Brandt of Wahpeton.

Mrs. Dorr was born in Eidsvold, Norway, July 5, 1879, and moved to Onowa, Iowa, in 1900. She resided there until 1902, when she moved to Red Wing, Minn. She was married to Martin Dorr, Nov. 2, 1906, in New Rockford, N. D., where they lived until 1945 when they moved to Breckenridge and later to Wahpeton in 1951.

Mrs. Dorr was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church and was a charter member of the First Lutheran church of New Rockford.
