Obituary

Mrs. D. Elmore

Mrs. Dallas E. (Nina) Elmore, 91, died Monday in St. Francis Home in Breckenridge. The funeral will be at 2 Thursday in the United Church of Christ with the Rev. William Dreyer Jr. of Hancock, Minn., officiating. Connie Raguse will be the organist and Arden Strege the soloist. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery at Wahpeton.

Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday until 11 a.m. at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home and at the church for one hour prior to services.

Honorary casket bearers will be David Neiber, William Kent, Gilbert Ott, Steven Elmore, Daniel Barry and Daryl Trites.

Active casket bearers will be Carl Trites, Larry Ott, Scott Elmore, Lowell Devine, Robert Kent and Verdelle Pederson.

Nina Anspach was born May 28, 1881, at Ida Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Levi and Carolyn (Bell) Anspach. She was educated at Ida Grove and married Dallas E. Elmore there on Dec. 5, 1900. the couple lived at Litton, Iowa, where he was employed as a carpenter and stone mason. They lived in Montevideo, Minn., before moving to Star Lake at Dent, Minn., in 1916. He died in 1940. Mrs. Elmore was employed at Breckenridge and Wahpeton cafes and also operated Mother's Midget Bakery at Otter Tail Lake for 13 years. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Surviving are six daughters and five sons, Mrs. Harvey (Carrie) Ott of Dent, Minn., Mrs. Irvin (Elizabeth) Kent of Wahpeton, Mrs. Henry (Nellie) Kloss, Mrs. Charles (Nettie) Farrell and Harold, all of St. Paul, Ernest of Lake Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Kenneth (Evelyn) Devine and Mrs. Joseph (Frieda) Neiber, both of Breckenridge, Russell and Theodore, both of Minneapolis, and Delbert of Newfoundland; Two brothers and two sisters, Clifford and Gail, both of Montevideo, Minn., Mrs. John (Eva) Anderstrom of Litchfield, Minn., Mrs. Homer (Blanch) Williamson of Escondido, Calif.: 29 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandson, Duane Kent, in 1952.
