Obituary
MARION ELO, 11, DIES FOLLOWING OPERATION Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Elo Will Be Buried at 2 o’clock Monday
Marion Elo, 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Elo of Wahpeton, died yesterday morning, Dec. 30, at the Wahpeton hospital, following an operation. She had been in ill health for the past seven months, the last half of which she had been confined to bed. Attacked first by scarlet fever, then by appendicitis and later by kidney disorders, she fought a brave battle against death and was cheerful to the end.
Marion Elo was born at Groton, S. D., where she first attended school, going later with her family to Ellendale N. D., where she attended school two more years until coming to Wahpeton with her parents in August, 1923. She was a pupil in the sixth grade of the Wahpeton grade school. She is survived by her parents and by a brother and sister. Maurie, 15, and Margaret, 13. Funeral services will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon the Rev. W. B. Dahl officiating. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family.
