Obituary
Nels Engen, 77, Of Wahpeton Dies Monday
Nels Engen, 77, retired postal employee and at one time operator of a drayline in Wahpeton, died Monday morning at St Francis hospital. He had been taken by Vertin Ambulance to the hospital Sunday after becoming ill at his home.
Mr. Engen was mail messenger for the local postoffice, hauling mail from the depot to the post office for 17 years before retiring in 1953. Before that he operated a drayline business.
Surviving are Mrs. Engen and several children. A complete obituary will appear in the next edition of this newspaper. Vertin Funeral Home of Wahpeton is making funeral arrangements.
