Obituary
Mrs. W. Escher Dies Sunday In Devils Lake
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery for Mrs. W. L. Escher, who died Sunday at the Odd Fellows home in Devils Lake, where she had made her home since her husband’s death. She marked her 83rd birthday April 11.
Born in LeSueur, Minn., Margaret Escher was married to the late Will Escher at Elkton, S.D., Nov 28, 1895. Her husband died here in 1945.
Mrs. Escher served a term as state secretary of the Women’s Relief Corp, did newspaper reporting and was active in Rebekah Lodge and church work when her health permitted.
She is survived by a son, Virgil of Indianapolis and a daughter Lola Baiden of Edmonds, Wash. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. G. A. Wuldroth White, S. D., and Mrs. A. L are two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
