Obituary
Alice Farnsworth-1904
Mrs. O. C. Farnsworth Dead At sunset, Monday, July 25th, Alice (Boughton) Farnsworth entered into rest. An invalid for years, the past two she was a great sufferer, subject to asthma. She died from a growth which prevented the assimilation of food. Her patience and sweetness of character endeared her to many friends whose kindness helped her in some measure to forget her pain. Showing for years the beauty of a christian spirit, she recently joined the Congregational church. She was born in Prescott, Wis., in 1856, but at the time of her marriage, nine years ago, she was living at Knoxville, Tenn. Since that time she has lived in this city.
She leaves an aged father, two sisters and two brothers. All that loving care could do was done for her, and Mr. Farnsworth and son have the sympathy of the whole community in their loss. The funeral was held in the Congregational church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, and the body was interred in Fairview cemetery. There was a large attendance, and the flowers and music and the whole service most fitting the life that had gone.
Mrs. E. A. Boughton, sister of Mr. Farnsworth, Miss Pearl Vaninwegon of Ortonville and Mrs.Eunice Hatcher of Wheaton, were present.
