Obituary
Walter Farnsworth-1910
Walter Farnsworth was born in Ellendale North Dakota the 30th day of June 1886. His mother died when he was a very little boy and he came to Wahpeton with his father when six years of age and has lived here since attending the Wahpeton grade and High School.
He gave up his position in Stern’s Clothing Store about the middle of October and was almost immediately taken to his bed and from that time until the end he gradually became weaker and weaker realizing he was soon to leave us he made many arrangements for the last sad rites which he knew must soon be performed.
The grim reaper came Thursday morning Jan. 6th at about 8 o’clock. In accordance with his wishes the funeral was preached by Rev. Gallagher in the Congregational church and some of the songs he loved so well was sung by Mrs. Mecksrtoth, Misses Fulton, Allensworth, Messrs. Brown and F. McKean. Interment took place at Fairview cemetery at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon.
