Mrs. Frebel Dies Here Sunday
Funeral for Early Pioneer Wednesday
Mrs. Adelgunde Frebel, 76, died at her home 624 Third Street South, Sunday. She had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at two from Immanuel Lutheran church with Rev. R. J. Becker officiating and burial will be beside her husband, Robert Frebel, who died 22 years ago. The family lot is in the Fairview cemetery. The body is at Schmitt and Olson chapel.
Born February 9th, 1886, near Bromberg, Germany, Mrs. Frebel came to Wahpeton vicinity in 1885. She was married in June, 1893, the couple farming their own farm southwest of Wahpeton. They came to Wahpeton 25 years ago, having purchased their own home.
She is survived by one brother, Ernest Schoeneck, on a farm near Wahpeton, and five sisters, Mrs. Philip Raitor, Mrs. Herman Boettcher, both of Wahpeton, Mrs. Augusta Kuehn and Mrs. Charles Raitor, both of Breckenridge, and Mrs. Thomas Novak of Moorhead. A stepson, Leo Frebel, lives at Bloomfield, Wis.
