Obituary

Carrie French-1905

Mrs. Carrie French Dead Mrs. Carrie French died at her home in the city Wednesday morning at 11:20 o’clock. Death had been expected for several hours and came as a relief to one who had been a sufferer for many months. The deceased was 38 years of age.

Carrie Mae Green was born in Ogdensburg, Wisconsin, and there she spent her early life. She came to Wahpeton in January, fourteen years ago and was married to Jesse R French, whose death occurred three years ago. Since her husband’s death she moved to the city from the Lorendale farm, which had been their home. Her mother and

sister, Mrs. Mullen, have made their home with her. Two brothers survive her, Ralph Green of Red Lake Falls, Minn., and Dwight Green of Clitheral, Minn., both of whom are now in the city.

She had been in poor health for several years and had been failing since last summer. She was of a very ammidable disposition, always thotful of others, and had a wide circle of friends in the city, who will greatly feel her loss and whose sympathy goes out to the bereaved family. The funeral will be held at the home Sunday afternoon at one o’clock, Rev. Barnes of Campbell officiating. The interment will be at Lorendale Farm where a vault is being built beside that of her husband.
