Obituary

I. H. Fisher, 60 of Wahpeton, Passes Sunday

Irl H. Fisher, 60, retired Great Northern Railroad employee, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at his home in Wahpeton following a heart attack. He had been in ill health for sometime.

The funeral will be Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in Bethel Lutheran church with Rev. P.A. Gisvold officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Schmitt-Poulton Funeral home has charge of arrangements and friends may call at their chapel Tuesday afternoon and evening.

He was born in Breckenridge March 16 1899, where he attended schools and grew to manhood. He and Thora Gylland were united in marriage Dec. 10, 1928, at Fergus Falls.

Mr. Fisher was employed for 37 years as a member of the Great Northern Railway maintenance crew and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Maintainers. Because of failing health he retired in 1956.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Howard of Minot and Robert of Grand Forks; a daughter, Mrs. Weslie (Mary Anne) Harry of Grand Forks; a brother, Calvin, of White Bear Lake Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Henry Sater of Seattle, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
