Obituary
F. W. Fenske Dies Tuesday at Age 77
Fredrick William Fenske, 77, died Tuesday at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday from the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rev. Edward Rutter officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel will be this afternoon and evening (Thursday).
Mr. Fenske was born at Faulk County, South Dakota, July 4, 1889 to parents Michael and Minna Fenske. He lied there with his parents during his youth. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Wecota, S.D.
He made his home at Wahpeton for the past 29 years and resided the past several months at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are three sisters, John (Ida) Leppke, Dawson, Minn.; Mrs. Woodrow (Ella) Jasmer, Aberdeen, S.D.; Mrs. Alfred (Dorra) Lashmar, Nelson, British Columbia, five brothers, Henry of Wahpeton, Otto of Aberdeen, Walter of Mina, S.D., Edward and Rudolph of Norbeck, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
