Obituary
Funeral Held Here Monday for Alfred Gabbert
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon from Immanuel Lutheran church for Alfred F. Gabbert, aged 46, who died Friday morning at St. Francis hospital. He had been a hospital patient for a week following surgery. Rev. Henry Fry officiated at the last rites and interment was in Fairview cemetery.
Born at Marshall, Minn., Aug. 5, 1908, Alfred Gabbert attended school there. In 1915 his parents moved to Hankinson and he remained there until his father died in 1945 when he moved to Grafton. In 1947 he went to Wood Lake, Minn., and continued farming.
In 1952 he entered construction work in Wahpeton. He married Louelia Heiderschied on May 9, 1954.
He is survived by his brothers, Edward, of Wahpeton; Albert of Wood Lake, Minn.; Emmanuel, of Chester, Mont.; and his sister, Mrs. Benjamin Feldman, of Wahpeton. There is one son, Alfred Jr., and the following stepchildren, Rosemarie, Donald, Darleen, Ronald, Rita Mae and Corinne. There are seven nieces and nephews.
