Frederick Glander Fatally Injured
Wahpeton Man is Buried Monday
Frederick Glander was fatally injured while chopping wood on the John Krause farm south of Mantador. His death was due to a basal skull fracture caused by an accident while at work. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Vertin Funeral chapel here in Wahpeton with Rev. W. Cordts of Hankinson officiating. Burial was in the Glander lot beside the father and mother in Fairview cemetery.
Mr. Glander was rushed to a hospital at Hankinson after the accident but he passed away at 8:20 Thursday evening. Frederick Glander, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Glander was born in Germany on October 24, 1865, and received his schooling in Germany. At the age of 25, he came to America and settled in Center township where he lived all of his life. He had been working on the John Krause farm since last May.
He leaves to mourn one sister, Mrs. William Radke of Breckenridge, and two brothers, Carl Glander of Wahpeton, and August of Minneapolis. Pallbearers were Otto Glander, Harold Samuelson, Gus Christensen, Carl Glander Jr., Herb Glander and Alvin Vanderwerff.
