Mrs. Carl Glander Dies in Center Township on Sunday After Brief Illness
Funeral Services for Well Known Woman Wednesday Afternoon
Mrs. Carl Glander a resident in the Center township community a number of years, passed away at 4:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon t the Wahpeton hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks.
Anna Wegener was born November 27th in the year of 1877. In the year 1883 she came to America with her parents, who settled in Oshkosh, Wis., where she spent her childhood days.
In the year of 1899 Ann Wegener came to Wahpeton. In 1911 her marriage to Carl Glander took place.
Besides her husband, five children survive. They are Elizabeth, 19; Ruth, 18, Carl, Jr., 17, Elnor, 15 and Irene 12, all at home. Two sisters and one brother also survive; Mrs. Albert Well, of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Elizabeth Zarling of Breckenridge and Herman Wegener of Oshkosh, Wis. Other relatives left to mourn her loss are Mr. and Mrs. Emil Braun, of Rothsay, Mrs. Fred Kueter of Calif., Mrs. August Wegener and Mrs. H. D. Lord, of Wahpeton.
Mrs. Carl Glander was of the Lutheran faith. She was confirmed from the Lutheran church at Oshkosh. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church of this city.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday afternoon. The house services will be held at 1:30 o’clock and in the Immanuel church at 2 o’clock. Rev. R. J. Becker will officiate. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.
Pall Bearers will be John Reiner, E. J. Boeck, Herman Gast, Charles Schultz, Henry Holthusen and August Matt.
