Obituary

A. Glander Dies on Wednesday in Minneapolis

Funeral services for August Glander of Minneapolis will be held at 2 p.m., CDT, Saturday at the Vertin-Schmitt and Poulton Funeral Home, North Chapel. Rev. Walter D. Elmer will officiate at the service for Mr. Glander, who died Wednesday in Minneapolis. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

August Glander was born in Pomern, Germany, Jan. 4, 1872. He was the son of the late Henry and Wilhelmina Glander. He emigrated to the United States in 1892 and settled near Wahpeton. He worked in the Great Bend area before moving to Minneapolis.

He is survived by a brother Carl Glander Sr., of Wahpeton, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Otto Glander, Herbert Glander, Carl Glander, Jr., Carl Glander, III, Antone Radke and John Bezenek. Rev. and Mrs. Elmer will be the vocalists and Mrs. Donald Gripentrog will be the organist.

Friends may call at the Vertin-Schmitt and Poulton North Chapel after 4 p.m. Friday and until the time of services Saturday.
